Analogue Dies – In Berlin.

5 November 2003 tbs.pm/792

Analogue television in Berlin was turned off on 1 August 2003 (better late than never with this news) – in contrast to the rather slow death for Analogue, Berliners were given just a year for convert before the plug was pulled on analogue.

Those in Britain making do with weak DTT signals until analogue dies, can only watch with envy; we won’t be saying goodbye to analogue until at least 2010.

Of course not everything is that simple. Dirk Trust’s article The Great Leap Forward in EMC’s Bitstream tells us that over 90% of German viewers have cable or satellite.
